QUESTION : DO YOU PROVIDE SEWING MACHINES ?
Sewing machines are currently available to hire for classes when booking online for scout hall venue only.
If you are looking to buy a machine take a look at our blog post here -
We welcome machines of any age , as long as they have two the squares on the label (meaning it is double insulated) if you are unsure pop us a message with your model number.
QUESTION : IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I NEED ?
We recommend you bring the following basic kit to your lesson as shown in the photo below ,
FABRIC SCISSORS , PAPER SCISSORS , PINS , SAFETY PINS , GREASEPROOF PAPER , CHALK PENCILS OR VANISHING INK PEN , RULER , SPARE MACHINE NEEDLES , BOBBINS , THREAD , SEAM RIPPER , MEASURING TAPE.

Slippers are welcome in class if you prefer to drive barefoot or more comfortably !

QUESTION : HOW MUCH ARE LESSONS ?
Each course is payable up front and the prices for each one can be found in our online booking tab above
Prices start at just £4 per hour.
All class prices are already subsidised by grants and sponsors.
QUESTION : WHAT CLASSES ARE AVAILABLE ?
We do cover a huge range of sewing techniques from dressmaking to free motion quilting... however not all courses are available all of the time. Our workshops are ever changing so if you don't find what you are looking for , pop us a message to be added to our newsletter list or check back again in a few weeks.
QUESTION : ARE THE LESSONS FORMAL ?
Not at all ! Occasionally when we are learning about a particular technique that needs demonstrating etc we will have 10-15 minutes of teaching as a class ,
the majority of our classes are step by step with teacher guidance , we do love to chatter and swap tips !
QUESTION : WHAT AGE DO YOU HAVE TO BE ? ARE THERE KIDS SESSIONS ?
All Stitch Bridgend Kids Club sessions are suitable for age 4+ , Teenagers age 11+
Evening classes & workshops are aimed at age 16+ unless stated on the class advert.

QUESTION : DO YOU DO CLOTHING ALTERATIONS ?
Yes we do ! However we are currently full . Our next available slots will be in JANUARY 2024
*Please note we do not do wedding dress or bridal alterations*

We do not at this time repair or service machines , we highly recommend GRAHAM for sewing machine repairs and servicing. -
